| We rode out to Akaroa and back for the weekend - 105km / 900m ascent on the way there via the summit road, and 90km / 500m ascent on the way back taking the shorter route around Akaroa harbour. There was no accommodation available so we had to carry our camping stuff too! It was a tough ride but beautiful scenery especially along the summit road. Aaron came with us on saturday and then got a lift home from Akaroa. |
